Eric Beard
Eric BeardCo-founder/Head Coach
Eric Beard, MS, LMT, NASM-CES, PES, CPT, FMS is co-owner and head coach at Play Strong Athletics. He is a licensed massage therapist, holds an array of industry credentials and has been working as a fitness professional since 2000. Eric earned his bachelor’s degree from Springfield College and his master’s degree from the California University of Pennsylvania, where he went on to be a faculty member for eight years in their exercise science department. His diverse experience in the fitness, performance and rehabilitation industries allow him to work well with an array of clientele.

Eric’s unique system of training blends concepts that look at the body as a whole. Identifying and removing roadblocks (or performance inhibitors as he calls them) opens the pathway to results.

Many clients have found their way to Eric via referral from top coaches and industry professionals. His philosophy blends well with a variety of approaches including; physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga, Pilates and more. Alignment, posture and technique allow for optimal movement. Optimal movement helps us feel better, get healthier and play stronger!

Gail Warden
Gail WardenCo-founder and President
Gail Warden is the co-founder and president of Play Strong Athletics. She has more than 30 years of experience in corporate accounting at graphic arts and aqua-culture farming companies and sits on the board of a private investment company. In addition to having a passion for numbers and helping organizations succeed, Warden is an multi-sport athlete. An accomplished equestrian rider, she has competed in the adult Hunter/Jumper rings, winning many championships and placing in the top ten at New England finals. Warden is also a competitive tennis player at the local and national levels. In 2013, she was ranked in the top 10 in singles and doubles in the USTA National Seniors Women’s tennis. In that year, she earned the USTA New England Female Adult Sportsmanship award. Warden graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. degree in political science.
